A vitamin & mineral tub with no added protein

  • Weather resistant
  • HIGH MINERAL BIO-AVAILABILITY
  • Consistent AVAILABILITY

Your mineral program is only as good as the intakes of your herd. Cattle grazing high-quality pastures or forages can have lower intakes of traditional mineral supplements. However, low moisture blocks from The Feed in a Drum provides a robust mineral package in a palatable cooked molasses tub produced in a patented manufacturing system to deliver reliable intakes without added labor or management.

Because MinLic offers no added protein to a herd’s diet, these tubs are ideal for cattle grazing high quality pastures in the spring. Additionally, most MinLic formulas offer a minimum of 2.0% added magnesium which can help combat poor performances as a result of magnesium imbalances.

Proven to break the life cycle of profit-robbing horn flies, Altosid® feed through fly control is the long-term fly control solution for livestock on pasture. The active ingredient, (S)-methoprene, prevents the horn fly from developing in and emerging from the manure of treated cattle.

Zinpro® Availa® 4, is built on a unique, patented metal amino acid complex. It provides the highest biological efficacy of any trace mineral product on the market. This means more of the minerals are absorbed by the animal to deliver their full benefit.

Feeding Directions

Provide free choice as a supplement to pasture cattle at the rate of one block for each 15 to 25 head. Initially place blocks in grazing areas near locations frequented by livestock, such as watering locations, shade or loafing areas. Once cattle become acclimated to the product strategically distribute blocks throughout grazing area. Cattle normally consume approximately 1/4 to 1/2 pound per head daily. Consumption may vary depending on climate, grazing conditions, condition of livestock and/or availability of other feeds. In situations where climate and/or other factors result in less than 1⁄4 pound per head daily, intake of supplement can be increased by increasing the number of blocks per pasture.

Provide access to fresh water and free-choice salt at all times.
